# UK Standard Skills Classification Explorer > The UK Standard Skills Classification Explorer is a public beta tool for exploring the skills, knowledge, tasks, core skills and occupations used across the UK labour market. It provides a common language for learners, careers advisers, employers, training providers and labour market analysts. Status: Public beta using the SSC v1.0 dataset. Licence: Content is available under the Open Government Licence v3.0, except where otherwise stated. The SSC includes occupational skills, knowledge areas, occupation profiles and core skills. Concept IDs use prefixes such as `S.` for skills, `K.` for knowledge areas and `SSC.C` for core skills. For machine-readable occupation-to-skill relationships, use [llms-full.txt](https://skillsclassification.org/llms-full.txt). Occupation profile records include `related_skills` IDs, which can be resolved against the occupational skill entries in the same file. ## Main pages * [Home](https://skillsclassification.org/): Search across skills, knowledge, occupations and core skills. * [Help](https://skillsclassification.org/help): Guide to using the Explorer. * [Skills](https://skillsclassification.org/skills): Browse occupational skills by domain, area, group and industry sector. * [Occupations](https://skillsclassification.org/occupations): Browse occupation profiles derived from UK SOC sub-unit groups. * [Knowledge](https://skillsclassification.org/knowledge-areas): Browse knowledge areas. * [Core skills](https://skillsclassification.org/core-skills): Browse the 13 core skills. ## Key concept lists * [Occupational skills](https://skillsclassification.org/skills): Detailed skill concepts used in work tasks. * [Knowledge areas](https://skillsclassification.org/knowledge-areas): Subjects, tools, technologies and bodies of knowledge relevant to occupations. * [Core skills](https://skillsclassification.org/core-skills): Transferable foundational skills used across occupations. * [Occupation profiles](https://skillsclassification.org/occupations): UK occupation profiles linked to relevant skills and knowledge. ## Authoritative background * [UK Standard Skills Classification development report](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-standard-skills-classification-development-report): Official report covering development, methodology, use cases, maintenance and future extension. ## Optional * [Sign up](https://skillsclassification.org/auth/signup): Create an account to save and compare custom skill lists, provide feedback and access prototype dataset downloads.
